The Benefit Bowl-a-Thon for the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund

Every spring since 2005, Arcadia’s Genetic Counseling Program has sponsored an annual Benefit Bowl-a-Thon to support the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund.  Initiated by Lindsey Close Campbell '05M, the Bowl-a-Thon has raised well over $10,000.  Each year scores of students, faculty, clinical advisors, alumni, family and friends gather to bowl, to bid on raffle baskets, and to bring support and attention to the cause.

The fund was established in 1976 in memory of Kelly Anne Dolan 500 Internal Server Error

Breast Cancer Awareness Night at the Philadelphia Union

In October, students, faculty and friends attend the Breast Cancer Awareness Night at the Philadelphia Union, our professional soccer team.  The event supports FORCE (Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered), a national nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.

In the fall, students and faculty volunteer at Philadelphia’s annual rideAtaxia, a bicycle race to benefit the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA), a national nonprofit organization dedicated to the pursuit of scientific research leading to treatments and a cure for Friedreich’s ataxia. The national spokesperson of FARA, Kyle Bryant, is a regular speaker in our program, and the executive director, Jennifer Farmer, is a 1997 graduate.  Since 2007, rideAtaxia has raised awareness and millions of dollars for FA research.
